The Historical Society of Phillipston offers an entertaining evening with Michael Humphries with “Wildest Stories I Ever Did Tell” on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 7 p.m. at the Phillips Free Public Library. The program is free and open to the public. Storytelling and poetry writing is one of the creative outlets for custom cabinet maker Michael Humphries, and he will recite poetry for us that reflects life in our small New England town. His presentation is delivered with drama, energy, and humor. It not only will make you laugh, but will be insightful and have a spiritual quality in its message.
++ Michael will bring one of his handmade wooden creations to be drawn as a doorprize for one of the attendees; so there are two good reasons to attend – a great program, a doorprize … also there will be refreshments! Note: If you’re interested in learning more about Michael and seeing some of his original architectural designs, ones that attracted the Boston Globe to do a feature article on his work, you can check out his website at www.michaelhumphries.com.
