Phillipston Congregational Church Bazaar, June 14, 2014

The 57th Annual Phillipston Village Bazaar of the Congregational Church of Phillipston, on the Common, will be held on Sat. June 14th, starting at 10:00 a.m. and running throughout the day. The Sixth Annual Phillipston Village Bazaar "Firefighter’s 5K (3.1 miles) Run/Walk” will be held with walkers beginning at 4 p.m. and runners at 4:30 p.m. The entry fee is $20. The fantastic Chicken Barbecue will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. serving continuously. The entertainment during the Chicken Barbecue will feature “Fish Fry Fred”, Fred Lillenkamp from Hubbardston, playing and singing traditional blues. Tickets for the barbecue may be purchased by calling Paula Haley at 978-939-4086.

The attic treasures will be held in the Phillipston Memorial School gym. There will also be a book sale outside on the green. Food will be offered for sale all day in the “Chuck Wagon” including hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, ice cream, and various beverages. The Ladies Benevolent Society will be selling homemade crafts and gift items. Other tables will consist of baked goods, fudge, coffee can auction, plants, toys, jewelry, games for the children and more.. Raffle tickets will be sold for "Hulda’s Antique Quilt”, made by the ladies of the church on display at the school gym. A country auction will be held at 1:00 p.m. with many wonderful items. Henry the Juggler, Henry Lappen of Amherst, MA, will be performing at 11a.m. on the common. Henry has been performing for over thirty years at theaters, libraries, schools and festivals. The Phillipston Cultural Council this year is sponsoring both “Henry the Juggler” and “Fish Fry Fred”.
