The Historical Society of Phillipston will hold its annual Memory Tree ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. on the Phillipston town common.
You are invited to submit names of people who have passed away this year, people who are in service to the country, and other people or events you wish to raise up.
The Society will announce the annual “Citizen of the Year” for public service.  The recipient of the Signature Quilt that celebrates the town’s 225th anniversary will be drawn. The Hardwick Memorial Handbell Choir, directed by Cindy Baird, will provide music of observance and celebration.
Light refreshments will be served in the church vestry.  During the gathering time, the winners of the Historical Society’s 2011 quilt raffle will be pulled.
For a $5 donation, you can have a name placed on the tree and read aloud at the ceremmony. You can find a copy of the name submission form on the Programs page. For more information, call Linda Langevin at 978-939-5656.
